Spring piano recital


Caroline's 2nd grade class, all decked out in their first communion outfits. Aren't they precious?

No, Caroline is not getting married (yet!). She and her class all took turns processing into church with flowers for celebrating May day and the crowning of Mary.

Later that same day... out of the white dress and off to the aquarium to SLEEP WITH THE SHARKS! Caroline's girl scout troop had an overnight at Pt. Defiance, where they got to sleep right up next to the shark tank. It's a lousy picture, but yes, that's a REAL shark swimming above/behind her--she's sitting on her sleeping bag getting ready for bed.

Last weekend we had a great get-a-way to Seattle where we enjoyed the absolutely fabulous sunshine. Here we are having dinner on the waterfront Friday night.

The girls loved the little fountain at the cruise ship terminal right across from Dad & Lourdes' condo. We hung out there both on Friday evening and again Saturday morning.

We walked from the waterfront up to the Seattle Center on Friday night and took the girls up the Space Needle. They had been begging us for a long time to do it, and they seemed to get quite a kick out of it. Of course my camera battery went dead up there, so I have only cellphone pictures of the rest of the weekend...
