Pumpkin Huntin'!

Hello there everybody!  It's Caroline again.  Since I got my new camera, I've been taking loads of cool pictures!  I thought I would share a few of the pictures I took while The Oly Doyles were out hunting for our pumpkins!

Feeding the goats!
The pumpkin patch was a bit chilly, but still GORGEOUS weather!
 Margaret found her perfect pumpkin!

 A productive day!

Birthday girls

Presenting Margaret the TEENAGER!
A visit to the salon for a mani/pedi with best friend Chloe was Margaret's idea of the perfect way to celebrate becoming a teenager.
Designer dance bags are SO cool!

Margaret & Caroline made & decorated the cake themselves.

Tonight is Margaret's official sleepover b'day party, with eight girls in a tent out in the backyard--pray there is no rain!

I just realized I never posted any pictures of Caroline's 11th b'day celebrations from April.  She had one party at 3D Glow Golf place, and another smaller one at the Painted Plate.
Not sure why she's hiding under the elephant at Glow Golf--all the girls were a little silly that night...

Finishing off the night with a ridiculously large serving of ice cream & treats...

And then something a little calmer, to celebrate Caroline's creative side

A Midsummer Night's Dream

The long-awaited performance by the fifth grade class of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream finally arrived!  After rehearsing twice a week for the entire school year, Caroline's class put on a stellar production of the famous comedy last week.  Caroline had the role of Titania, the Fairy Queen, and did an outstanding job.  The whole class was very well-prepared and entertaining.  It really is one of the neatest traditions of the school, and I am so thankful both girls got to experience it.  Now, the entire fifth class is off to Ashland during the last week of school to watch a professional production of the same play, as well as some other excellent theater, and to celebrate graduation from elementary school.  And lucky me, I get to be a chaperone again, like I did for Margaret's class! Yeah!
The kids created their own promo poster

Caroline's spring choir concert

From Bach to Rock

Singing the finale with all four of the choirs combined

It's always a treat to get to watch our talented daughters perform.  I'm such a lucky Mama!

Sleeping Beauty

Margaret's spring ballet was Sleeping Beauty, performed on Mother's Day weekend.  She had two roles, the first as a lovely "Fairylette" and the second as a Page.

As a Page, Margaret had the unenviable job of standing completely still & holding a flag for the ENTIRE third act.  Notice the plastic smile :-)
