Doyle Family Campout 4.0

This year's Doyle reunion camping trip in Chelan was loaded with lots of fun and adventure, and only minor mishaps.
Logan lived up to his reputation as the easiest and happiest (not to mention cutest) baby on earth...

The kids played in the sprinklers at the campground on Saturday morning because they just couldn't WAIT to get into the water at the lake and the waterslides.

Brian getting Jameson ready for a full day of fun in the sun. Oops, aren't those Logan's swim trunks? No wonder Jameson took them off shortly after getting to the lake and ran around cute as a naked little jaybird...

Margaret toured Dylan around on the floaty, making them both as pleased as punch.

While Caroline just relaxed and tried to soak up the very few sun rays we had on Saturday morning.

Jeff taking his turn supervising the kids at the lake...

Jameson decided to put on his suit of armor to protect himself from Grampy's bellywhoppers!

Fueling up on PB&J after the morning swim to get ready for the waterslide park.

Jaiden bombing down the last waterfall of the river run.

Caroline, Margaret, and Jacob all celebrating their victories over the river run.

What would a Doyle trip be without a Caroline injury? This year's was a lovely goose egg from a wild ride down the Purple Haze (aka Purple Death), the fastest and scariest ride at the water park. Fortunately it turned out not to be too serious and hardly slowed her down at all. Kinda balances out the scab on her chin from the previous week's scooter injury, don't you think?

Margaret and Marissa at the bottom of the giant slide. They did EVERYTHING in the park, with no fear.

Steve and Tiffany finishing with a splash.

Where in the (striped) world is Logan?

Hanging out at the campground after the waterslides, eagerly anticipating the BBQ feast to come. Thanks Steve for another incredible meal--smoked ribs that literally fell off the bone. Yummmmmmm...

Jameson and Dylan got along well all weekend--it was really fun to watch them, and makes me wonder what mischief they'll be making in a couple of years...

Logan holding court with his adoring fans.

Grammy & Margaret taking Logan for a stroll. Grammy worked overtime all weekend to make sure Logan's every need was met during the day so that Jennie would be rested and ready for the night shift.

Jameson checking out the doll tent. Not QUITE big enough...

Grampy's work was never done--playing every imaginable game with the boys (and girls) and always being available for a walk to the beach when the parents were too pooped to take them.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY POPS/GRAMPY! Maybe now that the trip's over you'll get a chance to relax in your new chair!

Party hats!

We celebrated my birthday in style last week, complete with funny party hats prepared by Caroline after a lovely dinner at Anthony's.

Catching up on spring things...

A couple of pictures of Caroline at the Cystic Fibrosis fundraising walk, where she was part of Team M&M. Thanks to everyone who donated!

Margaret was sick on her birthday, with a fever over 103+ for the fourth day in a row, which made for a very low key celebration.

Caroline baked Margaret her own mini-b'day cake in the Easy Bake oven.

She LOVES her new fleece blanket from Aunt Rose & Uncle Greg!

Feelin' good enough the next day to go get her ears pierced!!!

Margaret had been waiting SO LONG for this day. It went smoothly, with only the slightest flinching, and now she's an old pro at cleaning them. Next step is getting to change into all the fun, different earrings--still a few more weeks till she can do that.

Margaret's girl scout troop camping trip. What a fun group of girls they are.

Margaret's birthday sleepover finally arrives two weeks later! Here are the girls wearing their silly party hats, courtesy of Caroline's creative session with a bag of pipe cleaners...

They had a lovely time in the "spa" late Friday night.

Settling down for the end of the movie... I'm pretty sure I fell asleep before they did, but they mellowed out at a very reasonable time, all things considered.

Our sparkling sapphire...

Tonight was Margaret's ballet recital. Isn't she looking so grown up and graceful? Pictures were on Friday, right in the middle of her do-over birthday slumber party. Ah well, it made for a good outing for the party, and one of the party guests had her recital pictures at the same time, so it all worked out fine...

Celebrating with classmates after the recital

The obligatory sister picture...
