Winthrop

Jeff had a credit union conference at Sun Mountain in July, so we all got to enjoy a lovely long weekend in Winthrop.  I especially loved the drive over the North Cascades Highway, which the kids had never seen before.  We all agreed Winthrop is a definite winner that we need to repeat.

Sunriver 2012

Our annual trip to Sunriver included some new things this year, such as a lovely hike along a nearby river where the water was so clear we could see the rainbow trout swimming along beside us.

Also new this year was the brand new aquatic center.  I didn't get any good pictures of the outside, but the kids LOVED the outdoor pool, fountains, slides, and lazy river.  A definite draw for next time.

Of course it wouldn't be a Sunriver trip without donuts at the Village bakery, 

floating down the Deschutes, and a trail ride!

We had a lovely dinner in Bend at the end of the week to celebrate Grammy & Grampy's birthday.

Not sure how I'm going to catch up on a year's worth of blog posts, but since our adoring OlyDoyles fans keep asking me to, I'll try and do a little better keeping up on the postings.
