Can you believe this weather?

These pictures might look like they were taken in the middle of the summer, but believe it or not they were taken yesterday! The weather was so beautiful that we packed up and headed to the coast for an afternoon on the beach at Westport. Jeff and I were still a bit chilly (notice the coats & hoods), but the girls were totally happy in their shorts, barefeet, and short-sleeve shirts.

School projects

This was a week of special school projects for both Margaret & Caroline. Margaret's class has an assignment to make a homemade cross out of anything the kids choose. Margaret chose to sew one into a pillow and has worked diligently to handsew the grey satin fabric covered in pink lace.




Caroline is hard at work on her 3-D dinosaur diarama. She chose the "Liopleurodon" which apparently was even bigger than the T-Rex. It lived underwater and ate pre-historic sharks for its meals--yikes!
