A cousin sandwich

I see lots of wrestling and rough-housing in our future of Doyle cousin get-togethers...

3rd Grade Sea Life Project

Caroline chose a sea turtle for her 3rd Grade sea life project this year. After much paper mache-ing, painting, hot glue gunning, stuffing, and more painting, a masterpiece was born!

Girl Scout cookie sales time again...

Margaret & Caroline created quite a system in the back of the van to organize all the pre-orders they got, preparing receipts and thank yous for all their customers. Thank you again to all of you who supported them this year!

Mom (me, that is) deserves a special GS award for surviving THREE weekends of booth sales. The first weekend in the snow and freezing rain was so cold I didn't even take pictures! The second weekend was a little warmer. By the time the last weekend arrived, I didn't even care about the weather... just let it be over! Thankfully Margaret's last outing was a smashing success where they sold twice as many boxes as usual, which helped push her over the top to her goal, making it all worthwhile.

Margaret was quite the professional salesgirl this year.

Caroline still views it mostly as a big play date...

BRACES!!!

Ready....

Get set....

Ta da!

Getting used to them now...

Look who's growing up...

Margaret is looking and acting so grown up these days (mostly).

Basketball season 2.0

Caroline played on a team with two friends from PATS this year. They had lots of fun, despite being rather outmatched in their games...

The Amazing Rainbow Cake

Caroline found a recipe for a rainbow cake in the "mini mag" section of their American Girl magazine. Cute idea, but it tasted absolutely HORRIBLE (in my humble opinion). Girls didn't seem to mind, and loved making it despite having to use a magnifying glass to read the recipe. "Mini" mag refers to the miniature, doll-sized version of the magazine!!!
