Hola from Mexico!

Jeff and I had a fantastic time in Nueva Vallarta and are SO thankful to Grandma Gail, Grammy & Grampy Doyle, and Melissa for making it possible by taking such good care of the kids while we were gone. We didn't take too many pictures--we actually didn't do too much of anything other than soak up the sunshine, relax in the ocean and pool, and enjoy the beautiful views.

Happy New Year!

We opted out of a big New Years Eve party over at some friends and instead celebrated at home Doyle-style. That is, funny hats, cheers & confetti at 9 pm ("East Coast New Years" we like to call it), and in bed by 9:30 :-) It works for us, and the girls still think it's great. Probably won't be able to away with that too much longer...

Catching up...

It's time to catch the blog up to the non-stop pace of our lives... Here are a few pictures capturing some of the highlights since Christmas. This is the girls waiting to head to Leavenworth for our weekend in the snow before Christmas. I love how they enjoy reading so much--it comes in very handy as a time-filler.

We stayed at Bear Mountain Lodge (complete with complimentary bear nightshirts). Margaret and Caroline enjoyed the chance to cozy up with Grammy & Grampy Doyle and to play with cousin Jameson.

I love this picture...

The snow and sledding were great! We tried several different sledding areas but found the driveway at our cabin to be the best of all. Someone had left a plastic "snowmobile" sled, and Caroline gave it a try--look Ma, no hands!

We celebrated Jeff's birthday at the cabin. I won't mention which one it was...

We lucked out with beautiful sunshine for part of the trip and beautiful fresh snow for part. It was the perfect combination!

THE END!
