Snow fun!

Well, it seemed like a good idea back in September to schedule a holiday in the snow over Christmas break... Little did we know we'd be leaving a foot of snow behind in Olympia when we headed up to Leavenworth for our annual winter get-a-way. This year's trip included several exciting milestones for Margaret & Caroline--like sledding down the gigantic hills at Leavenworth's Enchantment Park, mastering the tubing track at the Leavenworth Ski Hill, and last-but-not-least learning to ice skate at the rink in Wenatchee. Whew! I'm tired just remembering all the fun we had.

The cabin we stayed in was outside Leavenworth in Plain, and it sat just above the river. It had a nice loft area, which worked well as a playground for the kiddos.

Jameson was entertained for quite a while looking for the "ca-ca" (bird) in the birdhouse, thanks to Uncle Jeff who kept making bird calls from the other side of the birdhouse.

Corrupting the little cousin...

The first rocket is Caroline, and the second is Margaret. Unfortunately they came down BACKWARDS, so I couldn't get a good shot of their faces, but trust me they had HUGE smiles glued on them!
