Friday was Caroline's first official day of kindergarten, after her conference on Tuesday. She handled it like a pro, lining up on the playground, putting away her coat & backpack in the closet, finding her desk and her spot on the "circle time" rug. After all the kids waved goodbye to the parents, we went down the hall to the library for a little coffee/tea and cookie social hour with the other parents. It was nice to meet so many other parents who are obviously going to take an active interest in their kids' schooling. Caroline seemed quite happy when we picked her up, and was proud of the crown she made to show everyone just how special she is.

I love the rug in her classroom. I need one of those!
Glad she had a great first day. I'm sure you'll be collecting a lot of those little hat things. Our kindergateners have a different one each week!
